Bratislava

Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia and is located on the Danube River, just 60 kilometres from Vienna. This little-known destination is becoming increasingly popular due to the rise in budget air-travel, with visitors attracted by the city’s baroque palaces and gardens, picturesque castle, traditional beer halls and relatively low prices. The city’s Old Town is full of local charm, with small winding streets, Viennese-style cafes and quaint churches, making it the perfect destination to experience on foot. There are plenty of culinary choices on offer round the city, including the revolving Vesa restaurant, situated in a television transmitter overlooking the city.
