The BRIT AWARDS, often simply called The BRITs, are the British Phonographic Industry's annual pop music awards. But BRIT also means British Record Industry Trust show. The Trust supports young people in music and education. The awards are recorded and broadcasted the following night (since 1989). And they become every year a great show because many popular musician attend them and perform a song and the awards are also presented by popular artists. The BRIT awards are given in these categories: British Male Solo Artist, British Female Solo Artist, British Breakthrough Act, British Group, British Live Act, British Single, Mastercard British Album, International Album, International Male Solo Artist, International Female Solo Artist, International Group, Critics' Choice, Outstanding Contribution To Music and Producers Award. In four categories (British Breakthrough act, British Live Act and British Single) could the people vote for their favorites.
